How We Actually Use AI in a Production Pipeline

Not as a shortcut — as a pre-viz, ideation, and versioning multiplier that protects the craft.

Every project begins with a question that has nothing to do with cameras: what does this brand need people to feel, and what would make them feel it? The tools — film, stills, aerial, generative — are answers, not starting points.

In practice, that means we spend a disproportionate amount of time before the shoot. Treatments get argued over. Lookboards get rebuilt. Previz gets thrown out. By the time a crew is on set, the film already exists in our heads frame for frame; the shoot is simply the act of catching it.

Craft is a series of small decisions

No single choice makes a film cinematic. It's the accumulation of a hundred quiet, correct decisions — the focal length, the fall-off of a light, the beat you hold one frame longer than feels comfortable. Get enough of them right and the work stops looking like content and starts feeling like cinema.

That's the standard we hold every project to, whether it lives on a cinema screen or a phone held sideways on a train. The screen changes. The intent doesn't.
